This morning when I woke up at 530 am to have breakfast and get read for work, I knew it was a different kind of morning, something different was in the air, something I hadn't sensed in almost a year. This morning Thomas (my room mate) was up especially early, which is nothing unusual for him, but for him to be up earlier and out the door means that something special is happening down the road less than 10km from my front door. Something that will determine 6 years of hard work, sacrifice, determination and a lot of sweat.
Ice making is underway at the Canada Olympic Park (COP) Track in preparation of opening day October 1st, COP home of the 1988 olympics, the very first place Australia ever competed in bobsleigh at a winter olympics, the first place I ever went down a bobsleigh track, the first place most of us ever encountered a bobsleigh, the first place we will open our Sochi Olympic campaign, and the defining place of years of work.
What have you done this week to make life easier for your future self?
With 14 days till we start sliding and 143 days till Sochi, have you done a little bit more to make sure the future will take care of itself?
